Frequently Asked Questions
Question: (Who are you, really?)
Answer: "I'm an author, silly! But seriously, I'm just a young soul in the United States who rediscovered their passion for writing during the turbulent times of the Covid Era. Since then, I've been steadily creating new stories while also slowly building up my career. My eternal ambition is to become a full-time author."
Question: (What is your pen name and why is your pen name?)
Answer: "My pen name is D.C. Fortune. As for why I added the word "fortune" to it, I don't truly have a dedicated answer. If I had to give an answer, then I can only say that "fortune" is a part of my top ten favorite words, and I do believe it makes my whole pen name sort of 'roll off the tongue.'"
Question: (What else do you do besides writing?)
Answer: "I do read, though, not as much as I used to. I play a variety of video games... A lot of video games. I like listening to music; maybe one day I'll even compile and share my favorite songs with you all. Other than that though, not much else goes on. I'm sure life will add more to my plate overtime as I develop my career further."
Question: (What do you write about?)
Answer: "Well, since I do have a focus on fiction writing, and because my ideas range so greatly, you can expect various stories in various genres from me. My personal favorites are horror, fantasy, sci-fi, dark stories, and action, but I will definitely try my hand at other genres as well.
Question: (Can I ask you any questions about your books? Can I ask you about your strange writing style? Can I ask you about anything at all?)
Answer: "Yes, you may! I do accept any and all questions, comments, and concerns! The best way to contact me is through my business email: authordcfortune@gmail.com."
Question: (Oi, mate! Where is your social media and stuff? Are you a ghost?)
Answer: "Technically I do have some social media pages on some of the popular social media sites. If you really want to seek out and find them, then my handles should be something like: authordcfortune, or maybe even just my pen name. The reason I am not advertising it or sharing it as I should be is because I am unsure how far I want to go with it. I also don't know which social media site I like most since they all have some good and bad things about them. Because of this, it's why I recommend contacting me through my business email for any reason that you may have. I do plan to change my hesitation on social media eventually. Eventually..."
Question: (How can we support you?)
Answer: "Spread word of my epic tales! Crush my opponents! And dine with me and the gods as we-- Ahem. You reading all this nonsense is helpful enough. But, if you've truly found interest or really enjoyed any of my works, then the best way to support me is to tell other readers, share your thoughts across the internet, or to leave a honest review wherever you feel most comfortable."
Question: (It looks like you've run out of things to say. I am bored now. Goodbye.)
Answer: "O-Oh. Okay then. Farewell! Thanks for reading, and, as always, have a fortunate day!"
