With Hammer and Heart

About

Forgotten history, solitude, and eternal lament is all time itself needs to turn days into years, and years... into decades. It has been several decades since the old blacksmith has seen another living soul enter his isolated little shack in the forest glade... It’s been so long in fact that it feels like retirement, however pointless, is calling his name.

But that day never comes, it is instead reimagined by fate as a seemingly insignificant but promising chance encounter of a lifetime that gives him enough motivation to see to it that this moment of fortune, and all other future moments that should be beyond his pitiful, old luck will become either forged, mended, or even refined, into something new.

He may not have much right now, but through his hammer and heart alone, anything, even the ability to withstand the coming omen of a terrible war and a fragile kingdom in great peril, can reshape even the darkest of destinies... a plight that he is all too familiar with.

Praise for this book

The book was written in a very interesting and exciting way. The writing style stands out a little, but I didn't think that was a bad thing. It took me a while to get into the flow, but then the storyline carried me away. The characters are well developed, even though there are a lot of characters, you don't get confused and can get to know and understand them well.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
